Academy Elite recommends the Kelley NFuego bat as our Top Choice again for 2010.  The bat is the most balanced on the market with pop that is comparable to Nike and Demarini and better than Easton.  In addition, Colleges are no longer allowed to use composites (2-piece bats) thus making Kelley the CLEAR choice.  They're not the easiest bat to locate, but by going straight to the company through our link--you'll have the best shot.  Here's the BEST part...the bat retails for 343.00.  If you ever need a new one like going up a size from 31" to 32" or 32" to 33" it'll cost you just $10!!!  That's right TEN BUCKS!!! Tell them Academy Elite sent you.  As with ALL of our recommendations--Academy Elite recieves NO monetary compensation whatsoever.  We make NADA! This way, when we recommend it--you know it's the BOMB!

Man, RockBats has come out with a brand new KILLER bat!  It's not a composite but, rather, a "laminate" that is admissible in games. Basically, the bat is assembled in sections off of a center dowel. It has great feel on contact with a MLB specification grain slope and Force Technology, you hit this bad boy on the face grain--the STRONGEST PART OF THE WOOD!  Roland Hernandez is the man to talk to at RockBats.  Roland headed the MLB survey and research on the shattering of maple bats.  The whole RockBat line is solid--but the Laminate is freakin' awesome!
